It’s never easy for a father to give away his “little girl” to the man she chooses to marry. But it’s a very special gesture that means the world to both Dad and daughter. This Dad in the video is no exemption. He wasn’t sure how to express how much his daughter meant to him on her special day. So instead of the usual speech, he decided to do something memorable for her daughter Nicole Cortez.
Captured in this wonderful video is the father signing the song “I Loved Her First” by Heartland. Although Nicole isn’t deaf, she works as a sign language interpreter and was surprised that her Dad learned to sign just for this very day.
“This meant the world to me. He said it took him the entire year I was engaged to learn how to sign this song,” Nicole said. Watch the video.
