He Cuts Wood Into Discs Then Stacks Them Together. What He Ended Up With Is GENIUS.

There are literally tons of awesome DIY projects you can do using wood. Remember that nail-through-wood trick we’ve posted a while back? Yeah, that’s a perfect example! And here’s yet another one that is equally mind-blowing. This time, a truly one of a kind wooden lamp created by Instructable’s user mikeasaurus. Check it out.

He starts by printing and cutting out a template.

Then he glued the template to wood.

He then cuts the wood (into disc shapes), using the http://kitchenhome.co.uk/ scroll saw tracing the template as he goes along.

The wood’s edges were then sanded for a more polished look.

To diffuse the lamp’s light, he also sanded the glass tube.

Next, he mounts the lamp onto the base.
