The Great Dictator Speech by Charlie Chaplin Still One of History’s Best Speeches

Consider for a moment these beautiful words:

“We want to live by each other’s happiness, not by each other’s misery. We don’t want to hate and despise one another. In this world there is room for everyone, and the good earth is rich and can provide for everyone…”

It’s Charlie Chaplin. He delivered the speech on the film The Great Dictator (1940), in which he’s the director, producer, writer and the lead actor.

Let’s all do ourselves a huge favor. Stop whatever we’re doing right now and watch this 3-minute video of one of the greatest speeches ever!
