A Montreal-based photographer, Benjamin Von Wong, just achieved a completely impressive and literally breathtaking underwater photoshoot with incredible results.
With a hand-picked team of 7 experienced divers, 2 freediver models, and a 50-year-old shipwreck 25m under the sea off the coast of Bali, the photographer was able to capture some of the most amazingly magical underwater photos you’ll ever see.
It required meticulous preparation. Everything had to go right to get started with the photoshoot.
The models are experienced freedivers (skilled divers known for diving without oxygen masks).
No room for error. A slightest miscalculation could spell disaster.
With limited lighting underwater, they’d to rely on camera strobes and natural lighting.
They also had to find a designer willing to part with the damaged clothing once they’re done.
Safety divers nearby providing the models with breaths of air from their oxygen tanks.

For some of the shots, the models were tied down to the shipwreck.
Too risky. But with proper safety precautions, the results are just absolutely stunning.
