We’ve all made mistakes. We all have secrets. And we all have regrets. Every one of us carry around a baggage that we so desperately try to hide from the world. Our emotional loads sometimes become to heavy to bear that we often wish for a way to get rid of them.
But we are humans. And mistakes, secrets, and regrets make us humans.
Photographer Alecsandra Raluca Dragoi, recognize these haunting emotions and started a project titled “Which Is Your Biggest Regret?”
“‘Which is your biggest regret’ first started with me: I never had the courage to speak out loud when I had to.”
Dragoi puts random strangers on the spot to admit their deepest secrets. Participants write down their secrets and regrets then Dragoi photographs them and shares these pictures with the world. In a way, she’s giving them an outlet to relieve their regrets and momentarily free their selves from such heavy burden.
Here are some of people’s regrets Dragoi has unearthed. Some are deep, some are comical, and some lucky ones live with no regrets at all.
